What is a "Challenge Group"?I suppose that in the truest meaning of the phrase, our Facebook Group isn't actually a Challenge Group. Typical Beachbody Challenge Groups usually have several participants doing a Beachbody program and/or Shakeology. They are typically separate from the main team Facebook Page. Although I do think that there is value in having separate challenge groups, I just really don't want people to be forced to do Beachbody programs and/or buy Shakeology to feel like they are part of the team. I also don't like the idea of creating a separate group for those that are doing challenges because it cuts down on the interaction on the main group page. We will be running at least one challenge a month starting in September 2016 and every month thereafter! They will usually be short, 3 to 7 day challenges that will start on the first Monday of the month. I see these challenges as a way to keep all of us engaged and I use them as an "entry ramp" into fitness. They are designed to be very doable, but they aren't cake walks either. There will be times when I might run a challenge that requires participants to purchase a Beachbody program (like the 3 Day Refresh, Shakeology, or a DVD program), but those will be the exception. So, although it's not a Challenge Group per say, our Facebook page serves all of the same functions. The key though is interaction! Take a few minutes to scroll through the team page newsfeed every day and even if you can't take the time to comment on a post, show the post a little love by hitting the like or love button if it's appropriate. When the page is hopping it's virtually impossible to comment and respond to all of the comments, but I always try to give it a "Like". Just that little click shows the poster that you saw their post and you know where they are at and what's going on. We all want our posts to be seen and to be acknowledged, and that's ok! When I "like" a post, look at it as me just running by you and giving you a big ole' HIGH FIVE! Our group is about support, accountability, and results!
Here is what I want our Facebook Group Page to be about:
